Macquarie University Australia and MIT-World Peace University enter MoU
New Delhi : Macquarie University, ranked among the top 1% of the universities worldwide, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s MIT-World Peace University which seeks to boost joint research programs, staff exchanges and study tours.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Professor S. Bruce Dowton, Vice-Chancellor and President, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia and Dr R.M Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, MIT-World Peace University, Pune, India, on 29 November 2022 in Mumbai.
The MoU covers credit transfers and articulations in STEM and Management programs to support the next generation of executives by enhancing their managerial skills and technological expertise in tandem.
Apart from the benefits of student exchange, study tours and joint research programs, students will also be eligible for direct admission to one-year Masters or an integrated arrangement for Undergraduate and Post Graduate degrees at Macquarie University.
Professor S. Bruce Dowton, Vice-Chancellor and President, Macquarie University, said, “This exciting new partnership will capitalise on the proven academic prowess of both universities to deliver stronger educational opportunities through access to a broad range of seamlessly-integrated programs in STEM and business management.”
Speaking about the partnership, Dr R.M. The academic collaboration between the two Universities will surely bring in the synergies together for mutually beneficial outcomes for all the stakeholders – the students, faculty and the partner institutions alike.”
The idea behind the partnership is to build stronger links between STEM and management through the delivery of joint lectures, conferences, short-term programs and workshops.
At the same time, students who enrol in these courses will have the opportunity of completing their first few years of learning in India before moving to Australia to conclude their program of study at Macquarie University.
