More than 65 thousand children to be immunized in Reasi

Reasi: District Development Commissioner Reasi Indy Kanwal Chin today convened a meeting of District Task Force for Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization 2020 which is scheduled to be held on January 19 to assess the preparedness for implementation of the programme in the district.
District Immunization Officer, Dr Usha Kiran also gave a detailed presentation on National Immunization Day, NID 2020. It was told that total 66929 children under the age of 5 will be covered with the help of 364 stationery booths, 18 transit teams and 12 mobile teams under 79 supervisors and 9 District Monitors. The programme will be held under the overall supervision of District Administration Reasi.
DDC Reasi stressed upon all the stake holders to concentrate in high risk areas so that no child is left out. A District Cell was also constituted to attend to any contingency arising during the programme.
Those present at the meeting also included ADC Reasi, Rajinder Sharma; ACD Reasi, Dr Sunil Sharma; CMO Reasi, PS Thakur; Chief Education Officer Reasi, District Social Welfare Officer Reasi and others.
