University of Minnesota’s CIDRAP launches redesigned website

The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota today announced the launch of a redesigned website featuring enhanced navigation to make it easier for visitors to access timely and important information on emerging infectious disease threats and policies and practices that advance effective public health responses.

The website’s new architecture improves the functionality and user experience with a modern, mobile-friendly design. It continues to provide the latest global news and perspectives on infectious disease topics, background and updates on CIDRAP’s ongoing projects and links to CIDRAP podcasts, including the “Osterholm Update: COVID-19,” a weekly discussion and analysis on the latest COVID-19 developments with Dr. Michael T. Osterholm, University of Minnesota Regents Professor, McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair in Public Health and director of CIDRAP.

“Our CIDRAP team is excited to be able to deliver our world-class content and both our breaking and in-depth news on a state-of-the art internet platform,” said Osterholm.

This work is the culmination of an 11-month process, which visitors should expect improved overall user experience. The new website features:

Improved search capabilities
Better content layout
Simplified architecture and user experience
A more mobile-friendly design (responsive design)
Implementation of an accessible design
The new website is made possible with support from the University of Minnesota Office of the Vice President for Research and the Bentson Foundation.
