The British Council offering to pay students’ study fees next year!

New Delhi: The British Council, owners of IELTS, the global English Language proficiency test are offering ten prizes of up to £3,000 to help students who are studying in Autumn/Winter 2020, and early 2021.

On 23rd December 2019, The British Council launched a campaign for students who are considering studying next year. For filling in an online form with just 500 words, explaining why they deserve the money and where they plan to go study, students could potentially win £3,000 toward their study fees. The only stipulation is that they must be studying in the next academic year and have taken an IELTS test between January 2019 and February 2020. Already inundated with applications, you can see why the competition is only open until 29th February 2020.

Namita S Bawa, Director – Marketing, British Council Examinations (BCEESIPL) India said, “IELTS opens a doorway of possibilities. Through the IELTS prize, the British Council extends support to students who are embarking on an academic journey in any institution that recognises IELTS certification as a prerequisite to gaining admission in a course or programme. We hope that the prize will help students in fulfilling their academic ambitions.”

To be in with a chance of winning the IELTS prize, all students will need to do is submit their details into the application form and tell the British Council why they would like to win!
