Reasi Admin organizes one day District level dissemination workshop on good governance practices

REASI : Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal on Saturday inaugurated a one day District level dissemination workshop on good governance practices and initiatives adopted by the District in the last five years.

In her inaugural address, the DC highlighted initiatives taken to improve the public service delivery system by various departments.

Under the Digitial India initiative and to realise the vision of minimum government maximum governance, 188 services of various departments are being provided online and so far more than 1.50 lakh applications have been disposed of, she said. She further highlighted that the Revenue Department has undergone a tremendous change over the last few years. She informed that the entire revenue record of District Reasi has been updated, scanned and put on the portal landrecordsjk.gov.in for public view under the campaign Apki Zameen Apki Nagrani. The land owners can now easily access the status of their land on this portal. The latest land record has been digitized into three languages viz. English, Hindi, Urdu and passbooks are being issued to the rightful owners. This has brought transparency and accountability in the department. Further revenue maps are also being digitized which shall subsequently be linked with the NGDRS portal and thus will be beneficial to all the stakeholders.

Highlighting the Grievance Redressal Mechanism, the DC said that the launch of JKIGRAMS has brought accountability, transparency and access of the public to the highest level in the Government for timely redressal of the grievances.

Endeavors are also being made by the Government to connect far-flung areas of the District through roads, rail, faster mobile connectivity, uninterrupted electricity and water supply.

District Administration Reasi is making all out efforts to implement the Jal Jeewan Mission in letter and spirit in a time bound manner. The release of funds through BEAMS, e-tendering, e-procurement of goods through GeM and availability of physical/financial status of works in public domain on Janbhagidari portal has further given an impetus to the development and larger participation of the public.

The Deputy Commissioner also stated that the reforms brought in Education/Health/Agriculture and allied sectors have contributed to the welfare and overall development of quality human lives.

Keeping in view the present pace of development, Deputy Commissioner hoped that human lives in every nook and corner of the District will have a better life, shelter, electricity and access to faster mobile connectivity. There will be further augmentation of health infrastructure and establishment of institutions like Medical colleges and Universities. Every farmer will see a considerable growth in his income so that he won’t need to shift to urban centres in search of employment. All the major tourist places like Sujandhar, Dagantop, Kousarnag etc shall be well connected and a tourist circuit will be created in the District. She exhorted the officers to work with extreme sort of dedication and frame roadmaps of their respective departments for realizing the vision document 2047.

District Administration has also adopted various practices like Reasi Beeps-Beat The Pandemic to cover the gap between public and administration, Cleanliness drive at Historical sites to remove legacy waste, Water conservation methods by way of construction of percolation pits for effective governance.

Later, Additional District Development Commissioner, Jyoti Rani Slathia gave a comparative development scenario of the District in the last five years.

Stressing upon the public participation in development, she said that all the records pertaining to Rural Development Department has been made available online and the public can view the facilities created at panchayat level on jkpanchayat.gov.in.

District officers of various departments viz RDD, Revenue, Horticulture, Agriculture, Health, PWD presented the best practices adopted by their departments.

Besides, Additional District Development Commissioner Jyoti Slathia, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Star, Chief Planning Officer Sunita Kanchan, District Officers of all Departments, members of PRIs, general public, students of Higher Secondary Schools and colleges were also present on the occasion.
