MoU between STPI & Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) deemed to be University during launching of 5G services in Odisha
Bhubaneswar : A MoU was signed between Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) & Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) deemed to be University for fostering collaboration to promote Innovation ecosystem during launching of 5G services in Odisha which was inaugurated by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India & Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Hon’ble Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Government of India on 5th January 2023.
Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI & Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SOA University signed & exchanged the MoU before the Hon’ble Union Ministers & esteemed dignitaries.
• Among key area of collaboration, it is envisaged to design and deliver various industry-oriented training and certification programme s at the national and international level, in the domain and technologies like IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Augmented & Virtual Reality, Data Science & Analytics, ESDM, Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, Drone, etc.
• Fostering collaboration to facilitate the advancement of knowledge & Innovation created by STPI CoEs & 5G Test bed at SOA University for promoting the Startups/Incubatees of STPI and creation of Innovation led Entrepreneurship among the Students of SoA.
• Sharing of ESDM Labs of Electropreneur Park (EP), Bhubaneswar (ESDM CoE of STPI) & STPI Fab Lab by the Students of SOA Universality for fostering innovation in ESDM field as well as creating maker culture among Students which in turn strengthen STPI’s effort for building the next wave of budding entrepreneurs in the emerging sectors of technology.
The launch event was accompanied by a spectacular exhibition from technology companies, STPI CoE Startups, CDoT, and Telecom services providers on Communications & IT products and 5G use cases where 14 ISTPI Startups of Electropreneur Park (EP) & NGIS, Bhubaneswar were exhibited their products & services.
Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India visited the Stalls and appreciated the Innovative ecosystem created by STPI and the innovative products developed by STPI Startups.
It is pertinent to mention that, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) established by Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India is engaged in promoting the exports of IT and software services form the country. In order to transform India into a Product nation, STPI has established Centers of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in niche technologies across the country for creating Innovation Led Entrepreneurship, promoting R & D, Start-ups, product development & IP creation as well as strengthening India’s leadership in Emerging Technologies by building a collaborative ecosystem.
In this occasion, among other dignitaries, Secretary (Telecom) and other Senior Officers from DOT, BSNL, Central & State Government and a large number of representatives from Telecom, IT, ISP Industries were present.
