Extramural lecture on Mental Health and Well-being

ALIGARH  : Prof. Shah Alam, Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University delivered an extramural lecture on “Mental health and well-being: Staying away from substance abuse” at the Centre of Continuing and Adult Education and Extension (CCAEE), AMU.

Highlighted the necessity of self-motivation to adopt a constructive lifestyle, Prof Shah Alam said that substance abuse should be avoided at the first offer. He said it is the first condition to ensure mental health and well-being.

Earlier, Prof. Ayesha Munira Rasheed (Deputy Director, CCAEE) welcomed the guest speaker and urged the students to incorporate simple yet important suggestions made by the speaker. She said it is the most important prerequisite for one’s well-being to say no to all bad things at the first instance.

Dr. Shamim Akhtar extended the vote of thanks.

More than 70 learners and staff members attended the lecture.
