Tohoku University To Hold Entrance Ceremony for Spring 2023

To welcome new students to the Tohoku University family, the 2023 Entrance Ceremony will be held in person on April 5 at Xebio Arena Sendai. It will also be streamed live online.

Only students directly involved in the ceremony will be allowed into the arena. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure safe physical distancing at the ceremony, family and friends may not attend, but are encouraged to watch the ceremony online instead.

Students participating in the ceremony should be appropriately dressed and must adhere to the university’s infection prevention measures, including wearing a mask. Students who are unwell on the day or have a fever should stay home and watch the ceremony online.

Anyone requiring special assistance should contact the university as early as possible.
