Traffic awareness programme organized

ALIGARH  : A ‘Traffic Awareness Programme’ was organized at Dr B R Ambedkar Hall, Aligarh Muslim University. The program aimed at creating awareness among the students for traffic rules and regulations.

SP (Traffic), Aligarh, Mr Mukesh Chandra Gautam, who was Chief Guest, highlighted the issues pertaining to accidents and legal cases arising out of them. He urged the students to make people aware of the Motor Vehicles Act and concerning regulations.

Guest of honour, Mr Fariduddin (RTO) presented data relating to road accidents and highlighted the safety tips which are generally neglected while commuting on roads. He stressed on the use of ISI-marked helmets, and fastening seat belts besides following safe pedestrian norms.

Mr Vinay Sagar Shukla (TI) urged people to pay attention and follow traffic signals, signs and road safety rules to remain safe and avoid penalty.

Prof. Hashmat Ali Khan, Provost, Dr B R Ambedkar Hall, presided over the programme.

Kaif Hasan (Joint Senior Hall, Dr B. R. Ambedkar Hall), Adil Jawahar (President, Project Umeed Welfare Foundation PUWF) and Advocate Nadeem Anjum (Vice-President, PUWF) urged the students to spread awareness regarding road safety measures and traffic regulations.
