Online workshop held on professional effectiveness
ALIGARH : The Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University organized a 3-day online workshop on “From Campus to Corporate: Build your Professional Effectiveness”, in association with Sleepwell Foundation and knowledge partner Maclead Certifications.
Addressing the inaugural session, chief guest Prof. Rais Ahmad (Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences) discussed the challenges of the corporate world and urged the participants to prepare themselves well academically and in terms of interpersonal skills.
The guest of honour, Prof. Sadaf Zaidi (Chairman of the department) highlighted the importance of building up effective leadership qualities and said the theme of the workshop is very relevant in order to make our students more employable. He thanked Dr. Aditya Bhushan Sharma, Associate Director, Maclead Certification and an alumnus of the department, for his cooperation in organizing the workshop.
He said the workshop is aimed at building professional effectiveness in participants.
Prof. Chandra Sekhar, CEO, Maclead Certifications Pvt. Ltd. delivered the welcome address and Ms. Ruby Gupta, Chief Human Resource Officer (Sheela Foam Ltd.), presented the opening remarks. Ms. Praveen Gautam from Maclead certification conducted the inaugural session.
Extending the vote of thanks, Organizing Secretary, Dr. Faizan Ahmad said that during the three-day workshop, ten sessions were conducted and resource persons including Ms. Praveen Gautam, Mr. Subash Chandra Sharma and Mr. Shawan Kumar Manocha, trainers of Maclead Certification interacted with the participants on a wide range of topics, including personality development, social etiquettes, time management, monthly and daily planner, stress management, teamwork, guidelines for preparing resume and interview skills.
The chief guest, TPO (General), Mr Saad Hameed discussed the importance of adopting a positive attitude in corporate life. He gave tips to the students for preparing for interviews and other selection procedures.
The guest of honor, Dr. Z.R.A.A. Azad shared his experiences with the participants.
