Three day Pathway Social Life Wellness Programme at Malappuram Centre
Aligarh : The Directorate of Minority Welfare, Govt of Kerala sponsored a three day Pathway Social Life Wellness Programme (Pre-marital Counselling Camp) at AMU, Centre Malappuram from 21st to 23rd. Dr Faisal K. P, the Director of the Centre inaugurated the Camp. The resource persons provided by the Coaching Centre for Minority Youth, Perinthalmanna conducted six sessions. Thirty students of the University Centre participated in the three days camp.
Advocate Shamsudheen K conducted the first session on “Marriage for Social Wellness”. He shared his insights on the significance of marital relations, and how marriage has evolved over time. The afternoon session was about the “Legal and Religious Aspect of Marriage,” by Advocate Dr Said Armadayan. He discussed the ground-level reality (legal and religious aspects) of marriage.
Ms Noosiya E, Student Counselor of Mount Seenai, Palakkad handled the forenoon session on “Effective Management of In-Law Relationships & Conflict Resolution Techniques” She shared real stories to enable the participants on the effective management of in-law relations using different conflict resolution techniques. The second session on “Effective Communication Skills for Couples and Healthy Online Communications” was conducted by Mr Muraleedharan KC, a sociologist.
Dr Abdullakutty A.P (Marriage Counsellor), conducted the third day’s first session on “Infant & Adolescent Parenting Skills, Sex Education and Pregnancy”. Ms Munshidha K, Research Scholar in Education, University of Calicut conducted the final session of the camp on “Family Budgeting”.
At the valedictory session, Advocate AK Mustafa President, of Perinthalmanna Block Panchayat delivered the keynote address and distributed the certificates to the participants. Ms Rajeena Sakker, Principal of Coaching Centre for Minority Youth, Perinthalmanna presided over the function. Dr Raghul V Rajan, Coordinator of the Pathway Social Life Wellness Programme proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Aliya Arif anchored the event.
