Technical University of Munich To Begin Future Learning Initiative 2023
Dynamic, competence-oriented and at the cutting edge – the teaching of the future is being shaped at TUM. Who knows better what it takes to achieve this than our students. The TUM Future Learning Initiative (TFLI) aims to turn their ideas into reality. President Thomas F. Hofmann therefore invites all TUM students and alumni to submit their proposals to the competition from March 1 to April 30.
After the first TUM Future Learning Initiative took place in 2020, the competition is entering a new round this year. Creative ideas for the further improvement of studying and teaching at TUM are being sought: What new formats do we need? What offers are still missing at TUM? Which innovative approaches will help us to meet the challenges of our time even better?
President Thomas F. Hofmann invites all TUM students and alumni to participate in the TUM Future Learning Initiative 2023.
Professional pitches and Raitenhaslach Retreat
All submissions will be reviewed by a top-class jury, and the best proposals will be shortlisted. Accompanied by experts in university teaching, the finalists are going to work collaboratively on their concepts at the TUM Science & Study Center Raitenhaslach. Together with a video team, they then produce professional pitch videos to present their ideas to the TUM family.
Timeline for the TUM Future Learning Initiative 2023: March 1 to April 30: Submit your ideas! May: Compilation of a shortlist of the best proposals. June 16/17: Raitenhaslach retreat to elaborate your concept. August: Production of the video pitches. October: University-wide voting. December: Award cermony.

University-wide voting
With these, the finalists will pitch their concepts to the entire TUM – and the entire university decides which ideas are the most convincing. The best proposals will then help shape the future of teaching at TUM.
