Kyushu University Hosts President of NTUST

President Yen and a delegation from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) were welcomed to Kyushu University on February 2, 2023, by Kyushu University President Tatsuro Ishibashi and members of the faculty: Provost Aratono, Executive Vice President for International Affairs, Iwata, Vice President Konomi for International Affairs and Vice President Shimizu for Research Promotion (Q-AOS). They discussed further possibilities of collaboration between the two universities.

Following the courtesy visit, President Yen and the delegation took a tour of the Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics Research (OPERA) and met with its director, Professor Adachi.

In the afternoon, they move to the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES) and inspected a cleanroom of the Global Innovation Center and the Microwave Experimental Building. Then, the delegation had a talk with Professor Nakashima, dean of IGSES, and met NTUST students currently studying at Kyushu University under the double degree program (master’s course) to interview them about their lives in Japan.
