ITC’s Sunfeast Supermilk felicitates young achievers with SUPERKIDS Award 2023

Chennai : Tamil Nadu has always been a source of inspiration for the entire nation. Several eminent personalities from the state gained global recognition with their extraordinary talent and willpower. Celebrating this strength in talent, ITC Sunfeast Supermilk ‘SUPERKIDS Award 2023’, is an endeavor to celebrate, encourage and support exceptional young achievers from across the state.

The first edition of ITC Sunfeast Supermilk ‘SUPERKIDS Award 2023’ was held at a glittering event at ITC Grand Chola. Mrs. Sneha Prasanna, the Brand Ambassador, and Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd., presented the trophies to the prodigies for their exceptional contribution in their respective fields.

The ‘SUPERKIDS 2023’ recognized prodigies from various fields who have made both the state & the country proud with their achievements. Gukesh D, best known as one of the youngest grandmasters in history. He earned the Grand master title at the age of 12. In March last year, Gukesh became only the sixth Indian to break the 2700 Elo-rating mark, and the youngest Grandmaster from the country to do so. Lydian Nadhaswaram, a stellar musician who can play more than 20 instruments. He represented India amongst 185 countries around the globe & won the CBS’ The World’s Best talent competition.

Vinisha Umashankar, an artist, a TEDx speaker, an innovator, and an environmentalist. She is well-known for her innovation, the Solar Ironing Cart. She spoke along with Prince William, the Duke of Wales, at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow.  Prasiddhi Singh, a social entrepreneur and environmental activist. She is the founder of the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation. At a tender age of 10, she is a Prime Minister National Child Awardee. Dr. Prisha K, youngest yoga teacher known for her inspirational work in teaching yoga to visually impaired individuals. She holds many world’s first titles  including youngest yoga teacher for blind certified by NCPCR central government, youngest most world record holder with 70 world records, youngest most honorary doctorate holder from USA and India, youngest author on yoga therapy.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ali Harris Shere, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuits & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd. said, “It is important for children to be exposed to various fields while growing up and then basis their affinity, be encouraged to follow their pursuits. We believe that a strong foundation helps children learn, grow and excel.  With this first edition of ‘SUPERKIDS Award’’, we embark on a journey to partner with children in their pursuit of excellence. The endeavor is to encourage children to dream big and pursue it with passion. Sunfeast Supermilk firmly believes in nurturing their potential. We hope our initiative also inspires other children to hone their skills and pursue their dreams.”

Speaking on the occasion, versatile actor and Brand Endorser, Sneha said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be associated with ITC and Sunfeast. I strongly believe that it is very important to nurture and believe in one’s strengths. Accomplishments big or small need to be recognised and celebrated. ITC Sunfeast Supermilk’s ‘SUPERKIDS Award’ is a brilliant platform to recognise achievers for their talent and effort. It also serves as a platform to inspire and encourage many young talents to explore and hone their skills.”

 

During the event, the prodigies were given a platform to share their journey of achievement. They spoke about the challenges they faced and what it took to pursue their dreams with dedication and passion. The awardees highlighted the importance of hard work, perseverance and a growth mindset in achieving success. The Superkids also emphasized on the constant support they received from their parents, highlighting the strength of upbringing that built their confidence and gave them a strong foundation.

 

The SUPERKIDS trophy awarded to the child prodigies is a symbol of recognition of their exceptional talent and dedication. Sunfeast Supermilk hopes to inspire more young achievers to pursue their dreams and achieve greatness.
