Orientation/Training Program on ‘Farm Mechanization & Automation’ under HADP held
SRINAGAR : The Joint Director Apiculture and Mushroom Kashmir, Tabasum Naaz today inaugurated an orientation cum training programme on Farm Mechanization and Automation under holistic development of agriculture programme (HADP) at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi, here.
Addressing the participants, JD highlighted the importance of agriculture mechanization. She said for the development of the agriculture sector the UT government has approved a multi-crore project to boost farm mechanization and automation. She said the project is aimed to increase production, productivity and to attract more and more educated youth towards the agriculture sector.
The JD asked the officers of the allied departments to work in coordination so that the desired results under different projects could be achieved in a comprehensive and time bound manner. She asked the officers to ensure that the farmers are made aware of the schemes and programmes of the government for the promotion of farm mechanization and automation in the UT of J&K.
Senior Scientist KVK, District Agriculture Officer, officers of Agriculture and allied departments were present in the programme.
