CBSE begins special drive for Continuous Professional Development of teachers from CBSE-affiliated & govt-aided schools for publication
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun a special drive for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of teachers from CBSE-affiliated government and government-aided schools for publication. In an official release, CBSE said that under the drive over 20 topics’ training related to Capacity Building Programmes (CBP) of students, will be provided to teachers.
The CBSE said that as per the Board’s rules, each teacher is expected to participate in at least 25 hours of training programmes conducted by the Board in a year and the rest from other sources to be arranged by Education Departments of concerned States and Union Territories. The National Education Policy 2020 recommends that every school should ensure the participation of all its teachers in at least 50 hours of CPD.
