Ural Federal University: The Volunteer Center of the International Festival of University Sports Began its Work
On Friday the volunteer center of the International University Sports Festival was opened at the event “Boiling Point” in Ekaterinburg. Representatives of the authorities of the city, the Urals Federal University and the festival directorate took part in it.
The work of the center is organized together with UrFU and the local volunteer association “Volunteers of the Urals”. The working space of the center is one of the most equipped and comfortable of its kind, which guarantees high quality and convenience of future volunteers’ recruitment.
The festival will be organized and carried out by around 3,500 volunteers, most of whom will be citizens and students of the city’s universities. Candidates from other regions of Russia and foreign volunteers could also take part in the festival.
“The upcoming festival is the biggest sports event in Yekaterinburg and the entire Urals Region in its history,” said to the volunteers Dmitriy Bugrov, the first Vice Rector of the Ural Federal University. – This is an international event. The fact that you are going to help organize it shows that you are modern, intelligent, and not indifferent people. We could do nothing without you. It would be impossible to hold such an event at the highest level without your hospitality, kindness, and smiles. The success of such a great event in the life of the country and of all the youth sports depends on each of you. I wish all the participants to successfully complete the necessary training and make a significant contribution to the festival”.
Volunteers will be involved in all stages of the preparation and organization of the festival. This includes accommodation, accreditation, arrivals and departures, sports village management, ceremonies, interaction with participants, catering, language services, spectator services, equipment, transport services, medical services, media and broadcast services, broadcasting, facilities management, ticketing program, information technology, sports event management, security, protocol, cultural projects, communications, marketing, decoration and navigation, volunteer management.
