Ed-tech startup Konfinity closes its seed funding from AngelList India along with a cluster of other investors
Over 150 million jobs created last year that needed candidates to have coding skills, this came at a crucial time when the IT industry as a whole was face a slump in hiring. Engineering students across the country still struggle to find the right career of their choice.
This coupled with the shift in hiring pattern that is seeing companies inclining towards hiring candidates exposed to hands-on exposure over a degree certificate is creating a widening gap between skills required and the quality graduates being churned out every year.
It is to address this gap that Konfinity – an online tech accelerator was set up by Navratn Singh, an alumnus of IIT Delhi (B.Tech, ME). Before becoming a fulltime entrepreneur, he worked in marketing with Plat (acquired by Housing.com) and Healthkart, and handled investments for Palaash Ventures.
Kamal Pandey, CTO, the cofounder started his journey in software development at Microsoft in 2012. He was a founding member at Spinny and Plat. He has worked on cross platform application development at Dalmia and Omaxe group.
in the year 2018. Konfinity has a step by step learning path that consists of coding, soft-skills and freelancing.
So far the company has partnered with over 12 colleges in India with over 2,000 active students on their platform. Konfinity has raised its seed funding from AngelList India along with a cluster of other investors. The founders plan to use the same for expanding to over 100+ colleges across 12 cities over the span of next 6 months.
