KL Deemed to be University Student Receives Prestigious NCC Commendation Appreciation Award

New Delhi : KL Deemed to be University is happy to announce that one of its B Tech students, Ms. Yashwini, has been awarded the prestigious NCC Commendation Appreciation Award. Yashwini, a Junior Under Officer in the 10th Andhra Girls Battalion in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, received this award for her exceptional performance in the drill and her active participation in all NCC service programs, demonstrating her commitment to nation-building activities. The award was presented by DG NCC Lt. Gen Gurbirphal Singh at the 10(A) Girls’ battalion office in Guntur. Out of the three thousand cadets in the 10(A) Battalion, only two students from three districts were selected as recipients of this distinguished award.

During his visit to the Guntur 10(A) battalion, DG NCC Lt. Gen Gurbirphal Singh, AVSM, VSM, was accompanied by DDG AP&T Air commodore P Maheshwar and Guntur Group CMDR Col. Chandra Shekhar, as well as the 10(A) Girl’s Battalion Commanding Officer, Lt Col R P Singh. The highlight of the visit was the impressive piloting skills demonstrated by SGT Yashwini and Cadet Navya, which left a lasting impression on the dignitaries. Their exceptional performance was a testament to the rigorous training and dedication instilled in NCC cadets.

Pardha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, expressed his admiration for the student’s exceptional performance and determination in completing a rigorous NCC drill that demands both physical stamina and quick thinking. The University Senior Management, Deans, Officials, Head of Student Welfare Department, Dr. Chappidi Hanumantha Rao, SAC Associate Dean Dr. K. Ruth Ramya, NCC Officer Pavani, Coordinator G. Chandrasekhar, and Suresh, along with other faculty members and students, gathered together to celebrate and encourage the remarkable achievement.
