Second Annual Stanford Seed Transformation Network Global Summit to be held in Mumbai
Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) today announced that the second annual Stanford Seed Transformation Network Summit will be held in India for the first time between 12 and 14 of March 2020. The summit brings together entrepreneurs who have completed the school’s Seed Transformation Program.
The Stanford Seed Transformation Program partners with participants — business founders and CEOs — to help them gain the essential business and leadership skills that will enable them to grow their companies and positively impact their communities. The high-touch, 12-month program inspires participants to become globally engaged leaders and transform their business with training and networking support. The Seed Transformation Program was first launched in West Africa in 2013 and extended to East Africa in 2016, and India and Southern Africa in 2017. The program has provided leadership training and mentorship to over 800 entrepreneurs across 20 countries.
Darius Teter, Stanford Seed Executive Director, and PR Ganapathy, Stanford Seed, India, will host the summit. Other speakers will include:
- Jonathan Levin, Philip H. Knight Professor and Dean of Stanford GSB
- Baba Shiv, the Sanwa Bank, Limited, Professor of Marketing at Stanford GSB
- Jesper B. Sørensen, the Robert A. and Elisabeth R. Jeffe Professor, and Professor of Organizational Behavior at Stanford GSB
- Paula Mariwala, Founder and Co-President, Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs India; Seed Advisory Board Member
Announcing the 2020 summit, Teter said, “This gathering will foster connections between hundreds of business founders and CEOs representing thriving companies from across Africa and India. They share a growth mindset, and a commitment to impact that extends beyond their individual enterprises and industries to include their communities and the world.”
