DSW holds meeting for Health & Hygiene Committees to be made proactive.

Aligarh : Dean Students’ Welfare Professor Abdul Alim held a meeting of the Provosts of various Halls of Residences/ NRSC to take stock of the situation. Issues related to hygiene and cleanliness were stressed. Health and Hygiene Committees comprising residents of their respective Halls of Residences will be working more proactively. The committee will monitor and ensure proper cleanliness in their hostels. Proper management of food with stress on avoiding its wastage was also discussed.

 

Provosts have been requested to remain vigilant in their Halls and take regular inspections. Things like broken boundary walls, and a security threat, will be identified and will be repaired on a priority basis.

 

University Engineer will submit a detailed report for repairing all such entry points which are posing threat to the University through trespassing.

 

AMU is committed to the compassionate care of animals and also adhering to the prevention of cruelty towards animals. However, awareness and sensitization programs for students will be held and they are requested to report any incident of aggressive animals for medical attention.

 

Sensitization drives will be carried out by the halls of residences and other bodies for a better understanding of fauna and their behavior for safety.

 

Meanwhile, Proctor, Prof Mohd Wasim Ali has informed that the security guard deputed at Sir Syed House has been put on No Duty pending an inquiry related to the dog attack incident.
