AMU faculty delivers a lecture in a webinar

ALIGARH  : Dr Pankaj Kharade, Department of Prosthodontics, Dr Z A Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University delivered an online lecture on “Prosthetic Rehabilitation of Complex orbital Defects” at a webinar organized by Association for Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Rehabilitation, India.

Dr Kharade said that rehabilitation of these defects after oral cancer surgery is essential to overcome disfigurement of the face.

Such types of prosthetic rehabilitation procedures also improve the cosmetic appearance as well as psychological status of patients, he added.

Dr Akshay Bhargava, former President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society inaugurated and chaired the session while Dr Nafij Jamayet from International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia moderated the session.

Dr Neha Shrirao, Ophthalmologist from Orbit Eye and ENT Centre, Pune and Dr Neeraj Chandraker from Government Dental College, Raipur, Chhattisgarh were the other panellists.
