AMU community intently listens to ‘Mann Ki Baat’
ALIGARH : “Mann ki Baat has become a festival that marks the strengthening of unity in diversity and promotes inclusivity, equity and nationhood among the wider arena of India’s citizenry. It promotes tourism, local businesses and national campaigns like the ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Khadi’ and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which have proved the people’s commitment to nation building and development,” said the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation through the 100th episode of his “Mann Ki Baat” today.
The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohammad Gulrez listened to the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat programme in his office, while other officials, teaching and non-teaching staff and students assembled at the Conference Hall of the Administrative Block to watch and listen to the programme, which was live-streamed through pmoradio.nic.in.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and stressed the storytelling method of teaching for its deeper impact on children.
He said, “On October 3, 2014, we started Mann Ki Baat together and today I would like to congratulate all the citizens on completing the 100th episode of this programme, which personifies our citizens, celebrates positivity and upholds people’s participation in the very working of our democracy”.
“I firmly believe that significant changes can be brought through collective efforts,” he added.
