Ahmedabad : The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, a pioneer in the field of entrepreneurship development, education, and training, has announced national residential summer camps for youth and children for 2023. These unique summer camps organised for children between the age group of 12-16 years and youth between 16-22 years aim to foster winning skills and build an entrepreneurial mindset at a very early stage.

The 40th and 41st editions of the camps on ‘Entrepreneurial Stimulation for Children’ will be held from May 7-12 and May 27- June 1, respectively, at the institute’s campus. Similarly, the 43rd and 44th editions of the camps on ‘Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth’ will be from May 14-23 and June 3-12, respectively.

Over the past years, through the national summer camp on ‘Entrepreneurial Stimulation to Children’ EDII provides a platform to understand the strengths and weaknesses, develop a perspective for growth and imbibe learning that ensures winning skills among children. So far, the camp has groomed 2,565 children through 39 camps. The children noticeably develop a ‘spirit of enterprise and achievement’ to target higher-order successes. After the camp, parents of the participating children are given a comprehensive report on their ward, emphasizing the personality traits of the child and future directions for them.

Similarly, through its national summer camps on ‘Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth’, EDII has been developing entrepreneurial traits among youth across the country. A total of 1,724 youth have been trained in the past. The youth realize their hidden potential and develop capabilities to meet challenges ahead by acquiring entrepreneurial traits of risk-taking, creative thinking, conflict management, effective communication, teamwork, and managing one’s emotions. Career counselling is also provided at the camps. Meetings with achievers and field visits to observe the classroom learnings in implementation leave an indelible impact on participating youths.

EDII has trained and groomed 4,180 children and youth through its national summer camps. Dr Pankaj Bharti, Faculty at EDII is the camp leader and can be reached at [email protected]/[email protected]
