Student exchange will become a new area of cooperation between the Ural Federal University and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. This is the result of the meeting of representatives of the two universities which held yesterday in Ulaanbaatar.

“We are sure that in addition to the interaction between our researchers there is also a considerable possibility for the development of student organizations,” said Sergey Kortov, Vice Rector of UrFU. – We invite Mongolian students to visit Ekaterinburg in the summer. In the year of the 300th anniversary the Urals capital will host the International University Sports Festival.”

UrFU foresees opportunities to expand cooperation with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology in master’s programs in Energy, Metallurgy, and Construction. According to Kortov, the universities should not limit their activities only to engineering fields. A number of proposals to the Mongolian part were made by Alexey Klyuev, Head of the School of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship of the UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management.

Alexander Ponomarev, Executive Director of the UPI, USU and UrFU Alumni Association, gave a letter from Mikhail Podkovyrkin, Head of the UrFU Student Union, with detailed proposals for partnership.
