Zhejiang University’s WHZJU and Center for Cancer Biology of VIB signs MoU for science and technology cooperation

On April 24, Women’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (WHZJU) and Center for Cancer Biology (CCB) of Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the establishment of a single-cell multi-omics joint center, cultivate clinical scientists and medical experts with international perspectives and outstanding innovation capabilities, incubate and produce high-level scientific research achievements. The collaborative achievements will really facilitate the prevention and treatment of major gynecological diseases, and make great contributions to the “Healthy China 2030 Plan”, and further enhance the global impact of WHZJU and CCB.

Prof. WANG Hui, president of WHZJU, and Prof. Diether Lambrechts represented each party to sign the MoU. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. XI Lingping, director of Division of Cooperation of Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, and WHZJU’s vice presidents, as well as the directors and representatives of the relevant departments and offices of the hospital.







On April 20, an appointment ceremony was also held at WHZJU to welcome Prof. Diether Lambrechts to join Zhejiang University as Kuang-piu Chair Professor.
