IIM Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the fifth batch of the Post Graduate Certificate in Executive General Management programme (E-GMP)

 

IIM Tiruchirappalli inaugurated its fifth Post Graduate Certificate in Executive General Management Program (E-GMP) batch on May 20, 2023. The program will be offered in hybrid mode and is designed to build an understanding of major functional areas of management and foster interdisciplinary thinking.

The event was graced with the presence of Chief Guest – Shri Charles Walter, Head of Group, Human Resources, Hyundai India; Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, Chairman and MD Jaro Education; Prof. Saravanan P, Dean (Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs), and Prof. Sirish Kumar Gouda and Dr. Papri Nath – Programme Directors.

Prof Sirish Kumar Gouda, Programme Director, welcomed the incoming batch and outlined the goals of the course. He encouraged the students to participate in peer learning and to benefit from the vast and varied experiences of their peers, the professors, and the curriculum. He applauded the enormous diversity of the batch by outlining the various backgrounds, gender ratio, and diverse functional skills of the upcoming batch.

Prof Saravanan P, Dean Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs briefed the students about the curriculum. He highlighted the importance of networking as one’s net worth and asked the students to engage in group activities effectively.

In his address, Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, Chairman and MD of Jaro Education, congratulated the participants for getting selected for the program. He urged the students to have a multidisciplinary approach to the curriculum and be masters of all domains. He focused on the importance of the network, ethical leadership, and human capital in the corporate world.

The Chief Guest – Shri Charles Walter, Head of Group, Human Resources, Hyundai India, emphasized the significance of holistic development in the business world. Additionally, he emphasized the value of staying with current trends and inspired the students to put their ideas into practice and have the ambition to achieve. He urged the students to have a humane touch in all business decisions to make the world a better place.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Papri Nath, Programme Director, followed by the national anthem.
