Faculty of Law Organises Lecture on Procedural and Practical Aspects of Law
Aligarh : Former Public Prosecutor Mr. Mohammad Iliyas Khan explained the criminal procedural laws with cases and lively court anecdotes, in his lecture on the “Procedural and Practical Aspects of Law”, organised by the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
He said that the FIR, investigation and trial procedure is the edifice on which the session court moves and concludes to conviction.
“The speedy justice and fast track courts demand quality of investigation and speedy trial to vindicate the rights of the victims”, he emphasized.
Prof M.Z.M. Nomani, Dean, Faculty of Law welcomed the speaker while asserting that it is imperative for law students to get abreast with clinical legal education for their march to bench and bar career.
Prof. Ishrat Hussain emphasized the need for practical understanding of the law with greater degree of involvement with court procedure.
Prof Badar Ahmad presided over the function and welcomed such a series of lectures in the faculty by legal and paralegal personnel.
The students attended the lecture in large numbers.
