Hands-on training held on nano-spectrometer
ALIGARH : The Interdisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre (INC), Aligarh Muslim University organized a free demonstration and hands-on training for the PhD (Nanotechnology), M. Tech (Nanotechnology) and Advance P.G. Diploma in Nanotechnology students on SPECTROstar Nano spectrometer, an apparatus that can capture absorbance spectra from 220 – 1000 nm at resolutions of 1-10 nm. This spectrometer is significantly faster than any other conventional absorbance monochromator.
Mr Manoj from M/s Biotron Healthcare (India) Pvt. Ltd., Chembur Mumbai, conducted the demonstration.
Dr Mohd Azhar Aziz (Director, INC) said that the objective of the event was to provide hands-on experience on one of the most relevant characterization techniques of nanomaterials. Mr Kaseed Anwar, who supervised the event, said that the programme proved to be highly informative and participants were provided with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and knowledge in the field of spectrometry.
