FDP on Emerging Trends in Management Education organised by CGC Landran
A five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organised in campus by Chandigarh Business School of Management (CBSA), CGC Landran in association with Chandigarh Management Association. 60-plus members of faculty participated in the event. The FDP on ‘Emerging Trends in Management Education & Innovative Research Methodology’, sought to achieve multiple objectives including strengthening the research acumen of the participating faculty while bringing them upto speed with the most recent trends in management education; Familiarizing them with the concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence; AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, etc. and their subsequent impact on management education. The overarching aim of the programme was to train the faculty in a manner which would help them engage more effectively with students when teaching concepts related to research and technology tools used in business management.
The programme schedule was structured in a way which facilitated both hands-on training as well as interactive sessions for the participants by experts drawn from across the industry. Topics elucidated upon over the course of the five days FDP consisted of ‘Generative AI and its impact on business productivity’, ‘Business Intelligence tools’, ‘Binary dependable models in quantitative research’, ‘Data analysis using SPSS’, ‘Structural equation modelling using AMOS’, ‘Time management and Productivity’, among others.
The keynote speakers and trainers conducting the FDP comprised Mr Abhishek Gupta, General Secretary, CMA, Mrs. Renuka Salwan, Former PR Director and Former DPR, Panjab University, Dr. Nitin Arora, Assistant professor, PU, Chandigarh, Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Sharma, HPU, Shimla, Dr. Joseph Jude, CTO, Coach & Podcast Host, Mr. Abhinav Malhotra, Corporate Brand Manager, ZDL Pharma, Ms Sakshi Mehta, Programme Manager, AIT Management, CU, Prof. (Dr.) GD Sharma, and Dr. Sandeep Singh, UASM, Punjabi University Patiala.
The FDP concluded with a valedictory session presided over by Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director CGC Landran and vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Ramandeep Saini, Director-Principal, CBSA, CGC Landran.
