PES University Bangalore Win TCS TechBytes 2020
Bangalore: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES) an autonomous body promoted by Government of Karnataka, announced the winners of the 11th edition of TCS TechBytes.
Winners: PES University Bangalore – Akhil Siddarth & Preetham Upadhya
Runners-up: BMS Institute of Technology, Bangalore – Adarsh Vatsa & Rohit Kumar Ojha
TCS gave the winners education scholarships of Rs 75,000 and the runners-up Rs 40,000 respectively. It also awarded the top six winners with a host of prizes. Dr H P Khincha, former Vice Chancellor VTU Belagavi was the chief guest and distributed the prizes along with Sunil Deshpande, Head, Bangalore Delivery Centre, TCS, Dr K N Balasubramanya Murthy – Chairman BITES and Dr Puttaraju – Principal SJB Institute of Technology.

The quiz acts as a catalyst to sharpen the minds of young engineering students and broaden their vision on new age technology solutions that are radically changing the way the world does business today.”

Winners of the regional rounds, held at six locations – Mangaluru, Mysuru, Kalburgi, Hubballi, Tumakuru and Bengaluru – qualified for the Grand Finale at Bengaluru. The finalists were taken through an interactive animation-based quiz, which had five segments – Byte Abundance, Tech Vision, Byte Clouds, Connected Ecosystem and Tech Agile – and prompted them to think laterally.
