The University of Portsmouth, UK signs an MoU with Amity Universities and Institutions

New Delhi: The University of Portsmouth, UK, ranked among the top 21 universities in the UK and among top 100 international modern universities, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amity Universities and Institutions to collaborate over a wide range of academic and research activities and initiatives.

The MoU between the University of Portsmouth and Amity University and Institution focuses on collaborative research activities in the domain of their mutual interests and development of joint programs. The partnership will also support aspiring students from both institutions in internships and training opportunities along with student and faculty exchange programs. The collaboration also includes joint programs, conducting lectures and seminars and workshops and exchange of academic information and materials.

The MoU emphasizes on the short-term customized courses visits by students on credit transfer and study abroad program basis at the University of Portsmouth for students of Amity and at Amity for the University of Portsmouth students.

This MoU was signed by the University of Portsmouth’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) Mr. Chris Chang and Amity Universities and Institutions’ Group Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Chris Chang, Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement and Education Partnerships of the University of Portsmouth (UoP) said “The agreement between Amity and University of Portsmouth is a great example of the collaborative cooperation that is possible between international institutions. Both institutions will benefit greatly from this collaboration and it will allow for creation of new ideas. This partnership will also benefit the existing students of Portsmouth who will now have an opportunity to do an internship in India and vice versa. ”
