Ural Federal University Ranked among Top 10 Russian Universities according to RAEX
In view of the upcoming admission campaign, the RAEX agency has published the 12th rating of Russian universities. Traditionally the list includes 100 higher educational institutions of the country. The Ural Federal University in comparison with the previous year has moved up one place and took the 10th place. This is the best result among all federal universities of the Russian Federation.
“Our university successfully forms one of the largest centers in the region for quality education and application of advanced scientific developments in industry. To achieve the necessary results, the university actively cooperates with academic institutions and industrial partners. All this contributes to the development of the region and increases its competitiveness. The growth of UrFU in the RAEX rating underlines the fact that we are actively developing and are on the right track,” says Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.
The RAEX-100 rating is based on the results of surveys of universities, own surveys of scientists, employers, students and graduates, scientometric indicators and data from open sources. The first requirement for participation in the ranking is to complete the university questionnaire. The number of universities participating in the questionnaire increases every year.
The overall score of the university in the rating is made up of three integral factors with different weights: the conditions for receiving quality education, the level of demand for graduates by employers, and the level of research activity. The score for each of these factors combines a group of indicators.
