Women’s Day programme held

Aligarh: Azizun Nisa Begum Hostel, Abdullah Hall of residence for girls emerged as the winner in events organized by the hall to mark international women’s day, while the New Hostel got the runner’ place.

According to Dr Ghazala Naheed, Provost, Abdullah Hall, several events, including Kabaddi, Kho kho, Basketball, Tug of War and Arm Wrestling were held during the weeklong celebration and teams of different hostels participated in the events. She delivered an awareness talk on Corona virus.

Huma Amir, a resident of the hall was declared first in poster making competition whereas Noor Yamshi secured second and Humera Nafees third position. In poster making event on Corona virus, Sana Zubair won the first place while Amra Beg and Khadija held the second and third places respectively.

Umra Beg delivered a speech on the occasion while Rehab Khan, Somiya and Nazli Siddiqui recited poems on women’s day.
