CM, Shri K Chandrashekar Rao, visits BTR Greens – MAK Projects, as part of Haritha Haram success celebrations!
Hyderabad : As part of the Haritha Haram programme success celebrations, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao, visited BTR Greens – MAK Projects in Maheshwaram, Hyderabad. He was accompanied by Mr Ranjith Reddy, Member of Parliament; Mrs Sabitha Indra Reddy, Minister of Education; Mr. Allola Indrakaran Reddy, Minister for Endowments, Law and Forest, Environment, Science and Technology of Telangana; Ms. A. Santhi Kumari, Chief Secretary, Govt of Telangana; Shri D S Chauhan, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda; Shri Dr S Harish, IAS, District Collector and Magistrate of Ranga Reddy and Shri Karnakar Reddy, Sarpanch of Tummaloor Village, Maheshwaram Mandal.

Haritha Haram is a flagship programme of the Telangana Government to increase the 24% tree cover in the State to 33% of the total geographical area of the State. Haritha Haram was officially launched by Telangana State Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao on 3 July 2015. The main objective of Telangana Haritha Haram scheme is to build our Telangana State into a Green City which covers to at least one-third of the State’s geographical areas.
As a part of Haritha Haram, ‘Green Week’ will be observed every month with people’s participation to protect the environment and there by save the planet. Our Honorable Chief Minister wanted all the officials to rejuvenate the existing forest coverage by taking up this initiative which will reap loads of fortune for the next generations. This initiative has been welcomed with lot of appreciation and accolades not only from the State but also from the entire nation and spoke volumes about the commitment and dedication to conserve the resources to a larger extent by people worldwide.
