DDC Anantnag visits COVID -19 Screening Centre at Zig Qazigund

Anantnag: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar today visited COVID – 19 Screening Centre at Zig Qazigund near Jawahar Tunnel to take stock of the arrangements being put in place for screening of the passengers, coming from outside valley. The Prevention Centre has been established for the screening of the passengers including the tourists for COVID – 19 before they enter into the valley from Jawahar Tunnel side
The DDC stressed upon the functionaries at the Screening Centre to take utmost care while screening the passengers for COVID – 19 and ensure efficient screening of the passengers.
The DDC also visited the Disaster Centre at Qazigund and enquired about the facilities being provided to the stranded passengers. He interacted with the stranded passengers, who expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to them by the District Administration.
Later, the DDC visited SDH Dooru to take stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients here. The DDC asked the concerned BMO to maintain duty roster and ensure round the clock availability of the Doctors and Paramedical Staff in the hospital. He also asked for displaying the information regarding preventative measures from COVID – 19.
The DDC interacted with the patients and attendants and assured them that all their healthcare related issues will be addressed at the earliest.
He appealed patients and attendants not to heed the rumours and take preventive measures to avert COVID – 19 infections, besides adhering to the guidelines of the health department to remain safe.
