University Of Glasgow To Co-host Fluid Mechanics Conference
The University of Glasgow is set to co-host a major national conference for fluid mechanics researchers this autumn.
The UK Fluids Conference 2023, which is organised by the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde, will be held in the city between October 17th and 19th.
The conference brings together experts in fluid mechanics research from across the country, from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to established academics.
This year’s programme will include a lively programme of invited and contributed talks from a multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers from all over the world, along with poster sessions which aim to foster communication and collaboration.
The event will be held at the University of Strathclyde’s campus in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
Prof Konstantinos Kontis, Mechan Chair of Engineering at the University of Glasgow’s James Watt School of Engineering, is co-chair of the conference. He said: “We’re pleased to be co-hosting the UK Fluids Conference 2023, which will help foster collaboration and cooperation between individuals from a wide range of professional backgrounds.
“Submissions for abstracts to be presented at the conference are now open. We’re looking forward to welcoming attendees to the city in October, where they will have the chance to discuss their latest findings, exchange ideas, and head home with up-to-date information on the cutting edge of fluid mechanics.”
