IMS Noida Joins Hands with IPCA to Drive Sustainable Waste Management
Noida: The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Noida is pleased to announce a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing with the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA). The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ashish Jain, Director of IPCA, and Dr. Kulneet Suri, Senior Director of IMS Noida. The event also highlighted the “Race to Zero Waste” campaign, emphasizing the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) framework.
During the inaugural program, Dr. Kulneet Suri, Senior Director of IMS, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. She disclosed that IPCA aims to install a cutting-edge composter at IMS Noida, designed to process wet garbage and transform it into valuable plant manure. This advanced machine will effectively convert waste into organic fertilizer. Dr. Suri emphasized that this initiative represents a significant step towards sustainable development, with future plans to actively involve the institute’s students in this transformative endeavor.
Mr. Ashish Jain, Director of IPCA, shared his thoughts on the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to have signed the MoU with IMS Noida under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative. Through this collaboration, we will jointly work towards waste segregation and composting. The labor-intensive process, previously performed manually by sweepers, will now be automated using state-of-the-art machinery capable of efficiently separating solid, dry, and wet waste.”
The collaboration between IMS Noida and IPCA symbolizes a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and waste management. By implementing innovative technologies and engaging the collective efforts of both organizations, this partnership aims to promote responsible waste disposal practices and contribute to the realization of a cleaner and greener future.
