Lancaster University’s MSc Finance named among world’s best in new FT rankings
Lancaster University Management School’s (LUMS) MSc Finance is ranked 9th in the UK and joint 46th in the world in today’s FT’s Masters in Finance Pre-experience 2023 global ranking.
The new rankings are compiled on the experiences of the 2019-20 student cohort. Data shows LUMS’ MSc Finance students have benefitted from a 48% pay increase, on average, since completing the programme. Data on the most recent cohort is also taken into account, with 96 per cent of these students having successfully found employment after completing the MSc, and 92 per cent of the cohort were international students.
Head of Department for Accounting and Finance, Dr Sandra Nolte, said: “Lancaster’s MSc Finance has once again retained its position in the world’s top 50 and the UK’s top ten.
“As a department, and a wider business school, we pride ourselves on the quality of our programmes so it is wonderful to see this quality reflected in these prestigious rankings.
“The community we have and nurture here at Lancaster University Management School is one of our biggest strengths. We are fortunate to attract an incredible calibre of students who are extremely talented and dedicated to their careers. They are also extremely busy people – so I’d like to personally thank them for taking the time to contribute to these important rankings.”
