Summer Swimming Coaching Camp Concludes

 

Aligarh : The Swimming Club AMU successfully concluded its month-long Summer Swimming Coaching Camp from June 17 to July 14. The camp witnessed the participation of over 100 children, including boys and girls from various schools across Aligarh District, who acquired essential swimming skills.

To commemorate the conclusion of the camp, a certificate distribution ceremony was held at the University Games Committee. The Chief Guest on the occasion, the Registrar of AMU, Mr Mohammad Imran (IPS), emphasized the significance of swimming as a crucial life skill that individuals of all ages should acquire. He extended his congratulations to all the participants and distributed certificates.

Guest of honour Prof M Mohsin Khan, Finance Officer of AMU in his address, urged the students to prioritize physical activities for their overall development. Presiding over the ceremony Prof S. Amjad Ali Rizvi, Secretary of the University Games Committee appreciated the efforts of the Swimming Club in organizing the camp.

Dr Farooq A Dar, President of the Swimming Club, in his welcome address commended the staff of the club for their support in organizing the camp and said the Swimming Club remains committed to fostering such opportunities in the future

The contributions of Mr Suhail Faruqi, Mr Mansoor (LSG), Mr Shoeb, and Ms Sheema were recognized for their roles in training the camp participants. Mr Mazhar Qamar conducted the proceedings.
