Ural Federal University Sees Improvement In Transport Accessibility Of Novokoltsovsky

Ekaterinburg is making all the necessary efforts to improve the transportation accessibility of the Novokoltsovsky district.

After negotiations between the city administration and the transport companies, changes were made to the bus routes and the intervals were reduced. Bus lines 01, 44, 56, and 65 are affected. In addition, together with the Sverdlovsk Railways, the issues of organization of shuttle routes to the “Compressor Plant” and “Lechebniy” stations were worked out. Taking into account the number of lines and the number of vehicles that will serve them, the waiting time will not exceed 3-5 minutes.

The implementation of the above bus route adjustment measures will allow for the transportation of up to 1,500 students and faculty per hour.

“The attention of the authorities to the Campus project underscores its importance and helps to consolidate Ekaterinburg’s status as the student capital of Russia. The issue of accessibility in terms of bus lines has already been solved. If additional measures are needed, the university will work on them together with the city. Solving the transportation issue will allow us to unleash the potential of the project – it will give the university, students, and the region additional opportunities for growth,” says Anna Gurariy, Director of the Department of Political Science and Sociology at UrFU.
