MNIT Jaipur Announces Nationwide AI/ML Hackathon for College Students MNIT, Jaipur has announced the schedule for a prestigious AI/ML Hackathon, inviting college students from across India to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities. The Hackathon, which focuses on AI/ML, seeks to foster creativity and technological proficiency among young minds, enabling them to tackle real-world challenges in a variety of domains, and starts on September 7, 2023. Prof. N.P. Padhy, Director of MNIT Jaipur, is the Patron of this Hackathon, and Dr. Meenakshi Tripathi and Dr. Prema Jain from the CSE and Electrical Engineering departments are the General Chairs. This Hackathon is an add-on event to the Summer School on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Engineering, Social Science, and Research, which will be held from September 04-08, 2023 and is sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society of the United States. Senior undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, postdocs, and young researchers with an interest in AI/ML can participate. It will include not only lectures by international and national experts, but also hands-on sessions, panel discussions, industrial visits, and so on. Hackathon is going to be conducted in two phases viz. Initial Phase/Idea screening round and Grand Finale round. In the Initial phase or the Idea Screening Round, the initially submitted ideas will be thoroughly screened and scrutinized from Aug 26-28, 2023 by a group of experts. The innovative ideas will be selected for the Grand Finale or 2nd round that will be held at MNIT Jaipur on 7th September 2023. The winners will have the opportunity to receive exciting cash prizes. The AI/ML Hackathon is a testament to MNIT’s commitment to promoting advanced technical expertise and nurturing a culture of innovation in the country’s engineering community. The last date for application for participation in Hackathon is August 15th, 2023.
