Oral Hygiene Day Celebrated at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College

Aligarh : Department of Periodontia and Community Dentistry at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University, marked Oral Hygiene Day to raise awareness about oral health on August 1. Partnering with the Indian Periodontal Society, the department hosted a special event where free toothpaste was distributed, and oral hygiene instructions were provided to patients. Informative pamphlets were also handed out, equipping patients with valuable knowledge and tools to maintain optimal oral health.

Prof RK Tiwari, Principal of the Dental College, praised the proactive role of dental institutions in promoting public health awareness and education. The collaboration with the Indian Periodontal Society showcased the spirit of cooperation among dental professionals in fostering oral health nationwide.

The program was guided by Prof Vivek Kumar Sharma, Chairman of the Department of Periodontia, who emphasized the significance of Oral Hygiene Day in promoting oral health awareness and preventive measures. He praised the collaboration with the Indian Periodontal Society, which extended the outreach of the initiative to the wider community.

The faculty members, including Prof ND Gupta, Prof Afshan Bey, Prof Neha Agrawal, Dr. Saif Khan, Dr. Afaf Zia, Dr. Pramod K. Yadav, and Dr. Syed A Ali, supervised the program.
