LUMS Professor recognised by EurOMA

A leading operations management researcher in Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) has been recognised for her contribution to the field.

The European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) made Professor Linda Hendry, Head of the Department of Management Science in LUMS, an Honorary Fellow at their annual conference in Leuven, Belgium.

Professor Hendry, who presented her recent work from the Plastic Packaging in People’s Lives (PPiPL) project, alongside Dr Savita Verma, of Hull University Business School, at the conference, was recognised for her significant contribution and dedication to OM research and education in Europe.

“I am delighted to receive this award – it has been a pleasure to be part of the EurOMA community over many years, and I look forward to many more years as part of this inspiring association,” said Professor Hendry, who received the award from EurOMA President Professor Cristina Gimenez.

Professor Hendry was part of a group of LUMS operations management researchers to attend the conference, with Dr Kostas Selviaridis elected as a new EurOMA Board Member. Also in attendance were Professor Martin Spring, Dr Nonhlanhla Dube, Dr Quynh Do and Sunil Banga.
