Govt says 10 lakh ASHA workers playing significant role in improving child health in country

The Government has said that 10 lakh ASHA workers are playing a significant role in improving child health in the country. Replying to a supplementary question during the Question Hour in Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Health Bharati Pawar said, great emphasis has been given to child vaccination. She said, exercise for immunization of children up to 18 years is being carried out across the country to prevent them from diseases like TB, Polio, and Measles among others.
