Building on the success a project undertaken in Thiyagarajapuram Village previously, the Central University of Tamil Nadu, in collaboration with the Central University of Tamil Nadu Alumni Association, took another major stride towards promoting education and literacy among the young minds of rural India. During a visit to the Punitha Jayarakkini Madha Govt Aided Middle School at Pannaivilagam, a school near CUTN, Prof. M Krishnan, Vice Chancellor of CUTN inaugurated a newly established library and donated over 200 books from the University Central Library to the Ms. Celin Rani, Headmistress of the school to enrich the students’ learning experience.
During the visit, Vice Chancellor Prof. M Krishnan passionately addressed the young minds, drawing inspiration from the words of the revered late former President, APJ Abdul Kalam: “Dream, Dream Dream, Dreams transform into thoughts And thoughts result in action.” He encouraged the students to immerse themselves in the world of books, recognizing the tremendous potential of knowledge to shape their aspirations and contribute to the progress of their village, state, and the entire nation, India.
