IMS Noida initiates a zero-waste campus.
Noida: The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Noida launched Zero Waste Campus in association with the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA). IMS Noida Senior Director Dr. Kulneet Suri, along with IPCA Deputy Director Radha Goyal and Deputy Manager Rahul, were present on the occasion. During the programme, an Aerobin machine was also installed to make compost from waste.
Inaugurating the programme, IMS Senior Director Dr. Kulneet Suri stated that IMS Noida has installed an Aerobin machine for environmental protection and to get rid of garbage. This machine will help in the clean campus and green campus campaigns by converting waste into compost on the institute campus.
Furthermore, she also added that IMS Noida has implemented an integrated waste management system that focuses on source segregation, efficient recycling processes, and responsible disposal of waste. The campus community, including students, faculty, and staff, will play an active role in segregating waste into categories such as organic, recyclable, and non-recyclable. This is a positive initiative of the institute towards sustainable development.
On the other hand, Radha Goyal said that we have installed an Aerobin machine on the campus under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. At the same time, our team informed the students about the importance of environmental protection and measures to prevent pollution through a Nukkad Natak.
The institution is committed to promoting sustainable practices among its members. Various awareness campaigns, workshops, and educational programmes will be conducted to sensitise the campus community about the importance of reducing waste generation and adopting eco-friendly habits.
