Ural Federal University Rector and Teachers Receive State Awards

On August 9, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuivashev presented state awards of the Russian Federation, awards of the President of the Russian Federation and awards of the Sverdlovsk region to outstanding representatives of the Ural region. They were received by residents of the region who showed an active civic position and demonstrated achievements in professional and social activities — metallurgists and builders, railway workers and employees of transport engineering enterprises, doctors, rescuers, representatives of education and sports organizations, parents with many children.

The medal of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” of the I degree was awarded to the rector of UrFU Victor Koksharov, the medal of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” of the II degree — to the professor of UrFU Department of Russian History Vladimir Pryadein. The honorary title “Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation” was awarded to Irina Kotlyarevskaya, the head of UrFU Department of Marketing.

“Dear friends, to each of you I want to say thank you for your hard work and patience, for everything you do for the region and its people! The presentation of awards is not only an assessment of your service to the state and society. This is the most important social incentive. First of all, for our youth. We are proud of you and your achievements. And this pride inspires, unites and gives strength for our further growth and active work in the interests of our region and the whole country,” said the Sverdlovsk Region governor Kuivashev.
