Half-Yearly Meeting of Thiruvarur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Conducted Successfully

Thiruvarur: The Thiruvarur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) effectively organized its half-yearly meeting on 23 August 2023. The meeting was chaired by Prof. M. Krishnan, Chairman of TOLIC and Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN). The meeting witnessed active participation from distinguished representatives of various Government organizations, including banks and post offices, within the Thiruvarur district.
Chairing the meeting, Prof. M. Krishnan, delivered a significant keynote address where he explained the importance of adhering to the Official Language Rules, precisely outlined by the Government of India. Prof. R. Thirumurugan, the Executive Chairman of TOLIC and Registrar of CUTN, expressed his sincere appreciation towards all member offices for their unwavering enthusiasm and involvement in the committee’s initiatives. He also shed light on the enduring value of maintaining such proactive engagement in the times ahead.
The newly appointed Hindi Officer of CUTN and Member Secretary of TOLIC, Ms. Sabitha Rani A.M, convened the meeting and presented an illustrative demonstration of how Official Language rules could be efficiently embraced and practiced at the offices with practical approaches to ensure the seamless implementation of these rules.
Dr. P. Rajaretnam and Prof. SVSS Narayana Raju, senior faculty members from the Department of Hindi, also actively contributed in the meeting.
