AMU faculty member appointed subject expert by ICMR

ALIGARH  : Prof. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Department of Pharmacology, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed by the Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) as an external subject expert for reviewing the ICMR-PG thesis proposals in Pharmacology, received by the ICMR for financial support.

The ICMR provides financial assistance of Rs 50,000/- to 100 selected candidates of less than 45 years of age every year, pursuing postgraduate courses in medical and dental streams (MD/MS/DM/MCh/MDS). The award of financial assistance is decided by the national-level support committee consisting of members of different disciplines from various medical colleges. The duration of the fellowship is three and half years from the date of issue of the award letter.
